Memory Canvas

Study a reference, then redraw it from memory on a blank canvas. Overlay the two when you're done to see exactly where your eye drifted.

When to use it

When you want to train observation under pressure — proportions, angles, silhouette — rather than render finish.

How to use it

  1. 01

Pick an image set and a study mode: Trace (beginner), Observe (intermediate), or Glance (advanced, reference hides after a few seconds).

  2. 02

Choose a focus tag — proportions, angles, gesture — to keep your attention narrow.

  3. 03

Study, then redraw on the blank recall canvas.

  4. 04

In comparison, slide the opacity of your recall, the trace, and the original independently.

One practical tip

Start in Observe mode with short sessions. Only move to Glance once you can finish a recall without panicking.
